On Sunday mornings we have prayer at 9 a.m., and our church service starts at 10:30 a.m.. At 11:00 we have Kids Church, while Adult church is in happening. Wednesday Night at 6:30 We Have Youth Service.

About Us

The Family of God Christian Center was originally called Family of God Fellowship. The church was started in 1987, and was located on Estelle Avenue in Steubenville, Ohio. We purchased the old Edgewood Primary School in 2007 and moved the church to Weirton, and renamed it Family of God Christian Center.

We purchased the Old Church Of God Building in Kings Creek Bowl, and we are now Located at 128 Era St. in Weirton Wv. 26062. We have a live worship band and contemporary worship. We are family friendly and kid friendly. Family is our first name, and Jesus Christ is at the center of all we do.

Our current pastors have been leading the church for twenty-four years. We believe we have a life-giving church. We are active partners with the Valley Pastors Association and We are Network Partners with the WV Prayer Alliance, and Prayer Coordinators for the Northern Panhandle of Wv.. We are a non-denominational church, not attached to any certain denomination of churches. Family of God Christian Center is a body of believers in Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was born of a virgin in a miraculous way, that He lived a holy, sinless life, that His life was a model for all His followers, that anyone who has faith in Him can do what Jesus did and more.

We believe that Jesus died on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins that He rose from the dead three days later, and appeared to His disciples over a forty day period, and then ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of His Heavenly Father, and ours.

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and therefore, we need a savior; someone to deliver us from sin. We believe that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, and we repent and turn away from our sinful life, and are Baptized in Water, that our Old Life of Sin is Buried with Jesus, and We are Resurrected in the Newness of Life in Jesus, as We Receive the Holy Spirit and follow Jesus, we become children of God.

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by men, led by God’s Spirit, and the Bible is the final authority on truth.

We believe that salvation is for everyone. We strive to be a multi-cultural church that is open to all races and ethnic groups.

We realize that we live in a broken world, and don’t expect people to be perfect before they come to church or to Jesus.

We believe church is a hospital for hurting and broken sinners, and that God’s love and God’s Word and God’s Spirit are supernatural medicines that heal and restore us and make us whole.

We Believe that God wants Every Follower of JESUS to be Equipped and Trained to Help Others Follow JESUS, and to be Able to Pray for and With Others to Help them be Healed and Restored spirit, soul, and body. Our church government is based on the biblical model of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers, Elders and Deacons.d, inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by men, led by God’s Spirit, and the Bible is the final authority on truth.
